A Heartfelt Share

I am here sharing another Heartfelt Creations card with you today. As I do this, I am sitting in a house full of my life all bubble wrapped within an inch of it's life, as we prepare to move our family from Sunny Queensland, Australia, to Sunny California USA.

I'm very lucky to work for a company like Heartfelt Creations who not only will allow me to work for them regardless of my geographic position, but has enabled me to make new friends in the States so I wont feel so alone when I get there.

Meanwhile, there are still things to be done, and one of the great things I have to do is to share my latest project. This is another card using the Framer's Market collection. I taught a class using this collection last weekend, and the ladies really liked working with the jars. They agree thast while we all adore the Heartfelt Creations floral collections, it was fun to have something really different to play with. How sweet are these peaches (pun intended).

Be sure to check out the blog for a sneak peek of the next collection "Enchanted Mums" and a video tutorial using the Christmas collection.

Just for you... from Heartfelt Creations.

It's Heartfelt Creations time again and I have another card to share using Farmer's Market, the newest collection. I really like the apple image in this collection, and the jars make a lovely embellishment. As much as  I love to work with flowers, it's kind of fun to have something a bit different to play with.

The whole team has been playing along with this one as usual, and have all come up with beautiful projects for the Heartfelt Creations blog.  As someone who especially loves to create off the page projects, I am always blown away by what Joann come up with. Check the blog to see her gorgeous little fruit cart.

Farmer's Market collection with Heartfelt Creations

It's Heartfelt Creations Wednesday again, but it is also new collection day.  The Farmer's Market collection is a little different to other ranges. Instead of a flower based collection, this one is all about fruits, and herbs and jars.

Here's my first project with this collection. The little berries are very sweet, and I love that there is a die for the little olive branch images.

On the blog this week is a new video from Emma Lou showing a great technique using clear acetate with the jars image from the collection.

If you are local, I'd love to see you at Arnold's scrapbooking at Rothwell for a 3 card class using this brand new collection. I am also teaching a Christmas card layout on the same day. I think this second class may be sold out, but youe name can be added to the waitlist.

Celebrating Christmas with Heartfelt Creations.

Today I have some more Christmas projects to share using Sparkling Poinsettia from Heartfelt Creations. The poinsettia is a great stamp and die set, and Christmas projects are always a great time to add a little extra glitter, which I have dsone using sparkling embossing powder.

For this card, I have used the same stamp and die set for the poinsttias, but I have used the embossing powder onto white cardstock, for a very elegant look.

Included in our blog posts now is a link to a video tutorial on how to create these great flowers. You can see it here.

On the blog at the moment, you can also grab a look at the collection for next month called Farmer's Market. You can get a look at it here.

A play with mixed media for Ruby Rock-It |Alicia Barry|

This week we were given free reign for our project, so I thought I would take the opportunity to have a play with something a little bit different from my normal style. I have played with mixed media a coupl eof time, and really had fun with it. I'm not sure it will become part of my regular style, but it's fun to deviate from time to time.

I used gesso and texture paste with stencils on the base. I added tissue paper, plastic mesh, and paper doily to create another layer.

I used gelatos and paint spray to add the colour.

I have used some Rustic Charm papers, flower bling, paper flowers, new stickers and wood veneers as my embellishments.
