Exciting Spellbinder news

This morning I woke up to emails and messages telling me that TWO of my entries have made it into the finals of the Spellbinders "Explore Beyond" competition. Now I have to send my entries off to the States for final judging. I have everything crossed, but I am trying not to get my hopes up, there is a necklace in the finals too that is particularly impressive.

So, here are the two items that made the finals.

...and here is my other entry that didn't make the finals, but I still really like it.

Some ManorHouse shares.

I have a couple of new things up on the ManorHouse Creations blog at the moment.  This first one is a little Christmas banner that I have sitting on my buffet with all our Christmas cards. It was really easy to make, but makes a lovely little handmade decoration.

Next, we were asked to do something with lots of colour. I went straight for the bright yellow large flower as it felt very tropical so it was perfect for a photo from our recent trip to Mexico. I tried to then add lots of colour, but within a tropical scheme. I added a little white, just to bring it all together.

I have some DownUnder projects to share too. I have one day of school left, then I can start to tick a few things off my long list. (after a very big sleep of course).

ManorHouse Creations/Imaginarium blog hop

Hi everyone. This week we are having a blog hop at ManorHouse Creations where we have teamed up with Imaginarium. I love their chipboard...specially their titles.

You have probably come here from Melinda's blog. If not, you can check through the list below to catch up. I am the last stop along the way.

What a fabulous combination ... flowers and chipboard!
Who can go wrong!!!

Over the next few days, our super talented Design Teams will be showcasing
chipboard and flowers and let me tell you ...
there are some INCREDIBLE creations on offer.

Let me tell you about Manor House ....

Manor House Creations was born in June 2011. The owners, seeing a need for a greater choice of flowers on the scrapbooking market, and having a desire to promote excellent product and efficient service, formed a new company. The focus at Manor House Creations is on providing quality, highly sort after products.

Manor House Creations blooms are diverse in size and design, and available in a multitude of colours. We spend considerable time with the factory managers, carefully choosing colours and adding our own personal touch to each flower design. Prints are selected exclusively for Manor House Flowers. With such a versatile range, we cater to both the avid scrapbooker and off-the-page crafter alike.

So would you like to check out some incredible creations?

First, let me show you what I created. My little girl posing by the pool when we were in Mexico. I've used alphabets, flowers, a flourishy frame and a fence from Imaginarium, and lots of pretty blossoms from ManorHouse Creations.

Over the past 5 days, you will have visited these blogs, leave a comment
and then you'll go in the draw to win a great ID Prize Pack!

So have fun, check out the amazing creations and leave the girls some comment

Some Sweetness

Here's a new layout that I have up on the ManorHouse Creations blog, using Summer City papers from The Scrapcake, and lots of pretty MHC flowers, including some of the new smaller design flowers which are also perfect for card making. I snapped this cute picture while we were on our Disney cruise.

That's it for now.

Time to start thinking about Christmas.

It's only about 6 weeks to Christmas and we have started sharing some Christmas projects over on the DownUnder Direct blog. I made some cards using the new pre-cut and scored step cards. I love this style of card and DownUnder Direct now offer three different styles in heaps of colours.

You can see my blog post here.

Friday, November 2

Today I am sharing a couple of projects that I made for the ManorHouse Creations blog while I was overseas. (don't you hate when the auto scheduling blog for blogger doesn't work). I love the way Amelie wrinkles her nose, and I was so pleased this layout came together so well. Who would have guessed that green flowers would make such an impact.

We managed to get this pic of Mum and Denis with the Grandkids at a recent wedding.ZI used maroon and neutral coloured flowers to create a formal look.

Summer City

This layout is up on the Manor House Creations blog. I have used the new Summer City papers by The Scrapcake. Amelie is obsessed with bubbles at the moment. I love how much fun she can have with something so simple.
The blueberry flowers were perfect for the shirt she was wearing and really helped to offset the bright colours in the papers which have a tiny hint of blue through them also.

MHC: Solitude: White, Beauty WV, Rue: Blueberry, Springtime:Blue, Petite roses: peach, Mayglo: yellow. Gelato: lemon, Hayley: white.

Loves me, Loves me not

Here's a new project for Manor House Creations. You can see it on their blog too.
Amelie loves to pick the flowers from the garden( no matter how many times I tell her not to). She was sitting there playing with each petal, and I could just imagine her saying Loves me, loves me not. Too cute.

I used lots of brand new Spring collection flowers for this one. I love how the gelato flowers matched the real flowers perfectly.

The papers used are Sweet Childhood by The Scrapcake.

MHC products used: Springtime: white, Mayglo: pink. Gelato: sherbert, Wild rose:sherbert, Meadows: white, Celeste: pink, Iris:sherbert.

Down Under Direct Projects

If you haven't been to the DownUnder Direct blog lately, go and have a look at all the wonderful projects up there from the design team. Here's one I created using the brand new Basic lattice die. The die may not be too much to look at, but it's actually really versatile. I used it here on a bubble layout of Cammy:

...and here is a window card I made with the same die along with some Bling-a-bility sparkles.  You can get the full instruction son how to make this here.
